First PubhD Talk: Wednesday 1st June

We’re thrilled to announce our opening PubhD Bristol talk will take place at The Robin Hood on St. Michael’s Hill on Wednesday 1st June at 7:30 p.m.
We have the pub booked for the whole evening so feel free to start milling in around 7, with talks starting around 7:30 p.m.

We haven’t put an end time, but we thought probably about half 9/10. Gives you chance to meet and chat with people after the talks.

Confirmed speakers are:

Pam Lock, PhD student at the University of Bristol:
“Drinking & Drunkenness in Victorian Fiction”

Helena Quilter, PhD student in Sustainable Plastics at the University of Bath:
“Pining for Plastics”

Jake Barber, MRes Health Sciences at the University of Bristol:
“Little Pricks: Improving the Efficiency of Nanospikes Against Bacteria”

Please RSVP on Facebook so we have a good idea of numbers!

See you there!
